Our Bikes – Your Journey

Renting a bicycle while on vacation at the Jersey Shore is a fun, relaxing, and eco-friendly way to explore everything the coast has to offer. From scenic boardwalks to charming beach towns, biking lets you soak in the sights at your own pace without the stress of traffic or parking. Whether you’re cruising to the beach, grabbing ice cream, or discovering local shops, a bike gives you the freedom to Tour the Shore like a local and make the most of your vacation.

Reservations

  • Drop Off: 7 AM
  • Pick Up: 7 PM

Same Day Order

Order before 2 PM (it could take up to 2 hours to deliver a bike, depending on location)

Delivery

We offer delivery right to your residence or to one of our designated pick-up and drop-off locations.
If your residence doesn’t have a secure spot to lock the bike or you’d prefer an alternative location, simply choose from the options below!

    • Bike Racks west of Restrooms, next to the parking lot (tan building)
  • 1200 Ocean Ave N, Asbury Park (The Robinson Ale House)

    • Bike Racks south side of restaurants
  • 22 Lakeside Ave, Avon By the Sea (Avon Pool)
    • Near Avon Pool (Grey Building) on the south side

    • Bike rack 150m+ south of bathrooms
    • Next to little grey ticket office right before the draw bridge
  • 100 Ocean Ave N, Belmar (Belmar Fishing Club)
    • Bike rack in front of the pier
      • If there’s no spots, there is another bike rack ~50m-100m south
  • 500 Ocean Ave N, Belmar (Borough of Belmar Taylor Pavilion)
    • Bike racks to the south of the Pavilion
  • 801 Ocean Ave, Belmar (7-Eleven and Playa Bowls)
    • Across the street on the boardwalk there is a bike rack

From 1 day to up to 7 days (week)

  • 1 day: $25
  • 2 days: $40

Refunds / Transfer Policy

  • If they cancel 2 days beforehand: $0
  • Cancel day of rent: $25

Stolen / Lost Policy

  • Bike stolen or broken beyond repair: $350
  • Normal wear & tear: $0
  • Broken part (can be repaired): $50

Please note that the deadline for same-day orders is 2 PM, as delivery can take up to 2 hours. This ensures you have plenty of time to enjoy your ride before pick-up at 7 PM.

Safety Precautions for Renting a Bike from Tour the Shore Bike Rentals

  1. Before Checkout, have a list of questions to ensure safety
    1. Do you know how to ride a bike?
    2. Are you over 5ft tall? (Bike recommends heights above 5’0”)
    3. Do you want a helmet? (At Tour the Shore Bike Rentals, we recommend helmets)
    4. Do you want bike lights?
  2. Reflectors on the front and back of the bike
  3. Check out the video for safety precautions for riders
    1. Obey traffic signals and signs
    2. Be aware of your surroundings
    3. Highly recommend Helmet (under 17 years old is required)
    4. Use bike lanes whenever present
    5. Always lock up your bike when you finish riding
  4. There are numerous bike lanes in the places we deliver
    1. If there is no bike lane on the street, we recommend the sidewalk (going with the car and foot traffic)
  5. Before every bike rental, Tour the Shore Bike Rentals will ensure all screws and nuts are tighten and make sure there are no bike malfunctions before use
